Dewitt-Lavaca Aggie Moms’ Club Scholarship
The DeWitt-Lavaca Aggie Moms’ Club provides scholarships for outstanding students selected from the following high schools: Cuero, Hallettsville, Moulton, Nordheim, Sacred Heart, Shiner, St. Paul, Yoakum, and Yorktown. The student must reside in DeWitt or Lavaca County.
Applicants must be high school seniors who have applied and been accepted at Texas A&M University.
Selection of recipient(s) will be based on scholastic achievement, leadership, and scholastic potential.
The applicant’s SAT or ACT score should accompany the application.
A typewritten (double spaced) essay, not to exceed two pages, on “Why I Want to Attend Texas A&M University” is required of each applicant.
Please submit completed application and all attachments to your school counselor or principal no later than March 8, 2024. Recipient(s) and their parents will be guests at the Aggie Muster and Banquet held Sunday April 21, 2024.
Reminder: Applicants must remember to do the following:
- Complete the application form
- Attach a 3″ X 5″ photograph
- High school transcript
- Principal or counselor recommendation
- Copy of college entrance test scores (ACT and/or SAT),
- Acceptance letter from Texas A&m University
- Two page typewritten (double spaced) essay on “Why I Want to Attend Texas A&M University”
Place the items noted above in an envelope. Leave the envelope with your counselor or principal.
Deadline for applications is March 8, 2024.
Finalists will be required to meet with the scholarship committee before final selection is made. Candidates will be notified of date, location, and time of interview.
